Job Description

The role is perfect for a professional with strong knowledge of accounting processes, VAT and financial reporting, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced construction and development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate accounting records and oversee daily accounting operations
• Prepare and submit VAT reports and other statutory filings
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reconciliations
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Reconcile supplier, client, and bank accounts
• Prepare payment statements and statements of account
• Ensure compliance with Cyprus accounting, tax, and financial regulations
• Liaise with government authorities, auditors, banks, and external partners
• Support payroll-related accounting processes and documentation
• Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Maintain organized financial and accounting documentation
• Support the finance team with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant or Senior Accountant, preferably in construction, development, or a related industry
• Strong understanding of VAT, reconciliations, and statutory reporting
• Knowledge of Cyprus accounting and tax regulations
• Experience communicating with government authorities and external auditors
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• English and Greek are mandatory
• Russian will be considered an advantage
