About us
CH.P.S. Accountants Ltd is a boutique ICPAC-registered and ICAEW-authorised accounting and audit firm based in Limassol. We act for local trading groups and international holding structures, and we hold ICAEW Authorised Training Employer status. Small team, direct client contact, no layers between you and the directors.

The role
You'll lead our accounts team and own a portfolio of client companies end-to-end — from source documents through to VAT and payroll compliance and management reporting. You'll be responsible both for your own clients and for the quality and timeliness of the work your team delivers.

Responsibilities

• Supervising, reviewing and developing a team of accountants and bookkeepers
• Allocating work across the team, managing capacity and monitoring deadlines across the full client portfolio
• Reviewing VAT returns, VIES and INTRASTAT declarations before submission via the Tax For All (TFA) portal
• Full payroll cycle: monthly payroll runs, Social Insurance and GESY contributions, IR7/IR63 and year-end payroll compliance
• Managing your own portfolio of Cyprus and international companies through to trial balance
• Monthly and quarterly management accounts and client reporting packs
• Preparing year-end files and supporting schedules for the audit team, and resolving audit queries
• Acting as the senior day-to-day contact for clients on accounting, VAT and payroll matters
• Escalating technical issues and exposures to the directors early

Requirements

• 5+ years in a Cyprus accounting firm or a busy in-house accounts function, including at least 1–2 years reviewing or supervising others
• Strong practical payroll experience is essential — Cyprus payroll, Social Insurance and GESY, run independently and without supervision
• Solid working knowledge of Cyprus VAT Law (N.95(I)/2000) and hands-on TFA experience
• Comfortable taking a set of books to trial balance and reviewing the work of others
• Confident with cloud accounting software and strong Excel
• Fluent Greek and English, written and spoken
• Organised, deadline-driven, and able to hold both clients and colleagues to deadlines

Nice to have

• LCCI Higher, or part-qualified/qualified ACCA/ACA
• Exposure to international holding companies and multi-currency bookkeeping
• Experience running payroll for multiple client entities rather than a single employer

• Annual gross remuneration of €25,000 – €35,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
