Job Description
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an independent advisory, accounting, and corporate services firm with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Advisor to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and financial reporting services, managing client relationships, and coordinating with various third parties, including banks, custodians, auditors, lawyers, investment managers and trustees. The role also involves reviewing and preparing corporate documentation and supporting the ongoing administration of corporate and trust structures. This position is ideal for a professional with strong accounting expertise, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to managing international client portfolios. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance or a related field, who possess at least 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a professional services, fiduciary, corporate services or accounting environment. Holders of professional qualifications such as ACCA or ACA are encouraged to apply, and prior experience working with international clients and cross-border structures is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of international clients, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of accounting and financial reporting services.
- Prepare and review accounting records, management accounts and financial statements.
- Maintain accounting records for entities holding investment portfolios, including equities, bonds, funds and other financial instruments.
- Review investment statements, bank records and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records.
- Liaise directly with clients regarding accounting, reporting and operational matters.
- Communicate and coordinate with banks, custodians, brokers, investment managers, trustees, auditors, lawyers and other professional advisers.
- Review corporate and trust documentation to ensure consistency with transactions, structures and accounting records.
- Prepare and draft corporate documents, including board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, minutes and other corporate records.
- Assist with the administration of Trusts and international corporate structures.
- Maintain statutory and corporate records and ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Review work prepared by junior team members and provide guidance and support where required.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal procedures and quality requirements.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- ACA / ACCA qualified or in advanced stages of qualification.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience, preferably within a professional services, fiduciary, corporate services or accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Experience working with international clients and cross-border structures.
- Experience with investment holding companies, financial instruments or Trust structures will be considered an advantage.
- Exposure to corporate administration and preparation of corporate documentation will be considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of external parties and professionals.
