CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit & Accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Senior Client Accountant, you will oversee daily accounting and bookkeeping for a portfolio of international clients, including supervising and supporting less experienced staff assigned to the client portfolio. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar, who are full members of the ACA or ACCA. You will need to possess extensive experience in a similar position, and be fluent in both Greek and English are a must. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a 13th salary, Provident Fund, and Friday afternoon’s off.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

• Manage the full accounting and bookkeeping cycle for a portfolio of companies with different business activities.
• Preparation and submission of VAT & VIES returns.
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping and proper recording of financial transactions under IFRS.
• Monitor accounting deadlines and ensure timely reporting for all assigned companies.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and filing systems.
• Provide support and supervision to less experience accountants in the Team.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

• Educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another similar field.
• Full member of a recognised accounting body (ACA or ACCA).
• Extensive accounting and bookkeeping experience, preferably gained working in an accounting/audit firm.
• Experience supervising and managing less experienced team members is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
• Fluency in Greek and English.
