CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Advisory, Assurance & Tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. Reporting to Senior Management, the successful applicant will be responsible for handing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties on behalf of a portfolio of clients. We are seeking applicants who are ideally educated in the fields of either Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar, who possess approximately 3+ years of proven experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role. You will need to be fluent in English, with experience working with accounting software considered an advantage. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience which includes hybrid working options, and working hours are from 08:00 – 16:00 from Monday to Friday.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Carrying out accounting and bookkeeping work for a portfolio of clients.
Maintaining the general ledger.
Carrying out monthly bank and supplier statements reconciliations.
Preparation of periodic management accounts.
Submission of VAT, VIES returns.
Carrying the payroll function (preparation of payslips, calculation and payments of Social Insurance, GESY and PAYE).
Liaise directly with clients via email and phone.
Assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.
Keep informed about current legislation relating to Cyprus Taxation.
Key Skills/Experience:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, will be considered as an advantage.
Holders of, or those working towards a professional accounting qualification are encouraged to apply.
Approximately 3+ years of experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role is a must.
Knowledge and application of IFRS’s, VAT and Payroll principles.
Experience in audit and/or tax advisory is a plus.
Experience using an integrated accounting software.
Strong Attention to detail.
Good command of English (both written and verbal).
