Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Technical Commercial Specialist to support commercial activities related to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role requires a strong technical background combined with the ability to prepare commercial proposals that include detailed technical specifications for battery and energy storage solutions.
The role sits at the intersection of engineering, commercial, and business, ensuring that commercial offers are technically accurate, clearly structured, and aligned with customer and project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver commercial proposals for BESS projects, including detailed technical specifications
- Analyze customer and project requirements and translate them into technically sound commercial offers
- Work with internal technical teams to validate system configurations, specifications, and assumptions
- Act as a technical-commercial interface between engineering, sales, and business stakeholders
- Ensure commercial documentation is technically accurate, clear, and compliant with project requirements
- Support clarification of technical aspects during commercial negotiations and discussions
- Maintain structured documentation of proposals, configurations, and technical-commercial decisions
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Electrical, Energy, Power Systems, or similar)
- Proven experience in a technical-commercial role within the energy, power, or storage sector
- Hands-on experience working with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or similar energy systems
- Strong ability to understand and interpret technical specifications
- Experience preparing commercial proposals including technical content
- Ability to clearly communicate technical details in commercial documentation
- Comfortable working with both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail in technical and commercial documentation
Nice to Have
- Experience in energy, renewables, PV, or grid-connected systems
- Experience working with EPCs, integrators, or energy solution providers
- Exposure to customer-facing roles or technical sales environments
- Experience with tender responses or bid preparation
