The company’s primary areas of focus are fund research, portfolio, and risk advice, FinTech and implementation solutions. Albourne’s office in Nicosia opened in 1998 and provides back office and IT services to the regulated companies of the Albourne group; it currently has over 320 dynamic employees and we are looking to have more to join our teams across various functions in 2025

 

 

Role in Brief

 

Work with the IT development team to design and develop our internal and client-facing systems in the rapidly changing environment of alternatives

 

Insights to the role

  • Designing and developing software in cooperation with business users
  • Apply advanced software engineering techniques to support CI and weekly releases
  • Observing a test-driven development process
  • Accurately estimating required development time
  • Refactoring existing code to improve security, maintainability, efficiency, resilience and the user experience
  • Pro-actively seek to improve efficiencies, user experience, maintainability and resilience
  • Stay abreast of new technological and design developments

 

Who You Are

  • A degree in Computer Science or a science degree with programming experience or equivalent practical experienceStrong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • Strong programming skills
  • Good knowledge of JavaWorking in teams with other developers, business analysts, business users in an international environment
  • TravelWork outside of normal business hours – coinciding with systems releases or urgent bug fixes
  • Abide by the Communication Group policies and procedures as well as the Albourne Group’s policies and procedures, including but not limited to compliance reporting, HFDB filing, Information, Communications & Cyber Security Policy, Expense & Travel Policy etc.
  • Comply with terms of Albourne Compliance Manuals
  • Attend company events upon request
  • Working in teams with other developers, business analysts, business users in an international envirnnment
