Betathlon Ltd is a Cypriot company which, through the brand name CYBET, operates in the area of sports betting in Cyprus. Betathlon Ltd possesses betting acceptance license Class A’ & B’ by the Cypriot Betting Authority (www.nba.com.cy).
We are seeking a Sports Trader for full-time employment based on a shift-system, to join our team at our Head offices in Nicosia.
If you love sports, follow football closely, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You will be responsible for managing betting markets, trading live matches, and helping us offer competitive and accurate odds across our sportsbook.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
• Manage sports betting markets for Pre-Match and Live events
• Trade live football and other sporting events in real time
• Monitor odds, betting activity, and customer trends
• Adjust markets based on team news, market movements, and betting patterns
• Help manage risk and sportsbook exposure
• Work with trading tools and data feeds to keep markets accurate and up to date
• Analyse market performance and betting behaviour
Key Skills/Requirements:
• Strong passion and knowledge of sports, especially football
• Experience in sportsbook trading or betting operations is preferred
• Ability to make quick and accurate decisions under pressure
• Good understanding of betting markets and odds
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Excel skills and sportsbook platform experience are a plus
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and major sporting events
• Good English communication skills
Important Information:
• The position is based on a five-day schedule, in a department that operates 7 days a week based on a shift system.
• Once trained this role could operate based on a hybrid model, based in the office, and working from home.
• Salary depending on experience and knowledge.
• Office Location: Makedonitissa, Nicosia.
