Job Description

The Storekeeper is responsible for the efficient management of the company’s warehouse inventory, including receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of all stock-related activities. The role supports day-to-day operations by ensuring the availability and proper handling of supplies and equipment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, stock levels, withdrawals and transfers.
• Receive, inspect, unload, and properly store incoming supplies and equipment.
• Perform stock-related duties such as returning, packing, labeling, and pricing items.
• Indicates how often stock is used and swiftly restore inventory levels.
• Check deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report to the Accounting Department.
• Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of outdated or surplus items.
• Ensure proper documentation and inventory control / internal procedures are followed.
• Manage warehouse space efficiently and keep the area organized and clean.
• Coordinate freight handling and the movement of equipment.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts and reconcile with records.
•  Keeps records of purchase requisition and quotations.
• Carry out any additional duties as assigned by the CMO.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training in logistics or inventory management is a plus).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or related field.
• Familiarity with standard warehouse and inventory procedures.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, inventory software).
• Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Proactive and able to follow safety and procedural standards.
• Problem-solving abilities, particularly in handling discrepancies and stock issues.
