Job Description

Responsibilities:

This job position has the following responsibilities and duties:

·         Perform audit engagements in accordance with ISA, IFRS, and the Companies Law (Cap. 113)

·         Prepare financial statements and tax computations in compliance with IFRS and Cyprus tax legislation

·         Assist the Supervisor with planning, coordinating, and monitoring audit engagements

·         Supervise and support junior staff, reviewing their work before submission to the Supervisor

·         Liaise with clients and internal departments to obtain information and resolve routine audit matters

·         Report engagement progress and key issues to the Supervisor and Audit Manager

·         Coach and support the development of junior team members

·         Attend client meetings and maintain professional client relationships

·         Keep up to date with developments in auditing, IFRS, tax, VAT, AML, and the Companies Law

·         Perform other audit-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should have the following skills, education, and experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; a Finance-related degree is an advantage

·         ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist with strong examination results and at least 3–4 years of audit experience

·         Good knowledge of auditing procedures, IFRS, Cyprus taxation, VAT and Caseware Audit International

·         Ability to review audit working papers, coordinate audit fieldwork and guide junior team members

·         Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

·         Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Greek and English; knowledge of Russian or other languages is an advantage

·         Good IT skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
