Position: Supervising Senior – Assistant Manager | Business Tax
Our Business Tax team is looking to recruit dynamic and high calibre professionals to join us at the levels of Supervising Senior - Assistant Manager, in our Nicosia or Limassol Office.
Deloitte has one of the largest teams of tax experts in Cyprus, providing a full range of business and personal taxation services. We provide quality taxation advice and services to large multinational groups, corporations, and owner-managed businesses both in Cyprus and abroad.
The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in the provision of tax compliance and advisory services to a portfolio of clients, based in Cyprus and abroad, and will be expected to act as an individual contributor, delivering high quality work with guidance from leadership.
Key responsibilities of the position include, among others:
Handle a portfolio of local and international clients operating across various industries, and liaise with clients on a day-to-day basis to manage tax compliance and advisory matters
Liaise with the Cyprus Tax Authorities to handle tax compliance matters of the allocated client portfolio including tax audits
Contribute to the department’s goals in providing exceptional service to both local and international clients on a broad range of challenging client exercises
Keep up to date with current developments in the field of tax and apply knowledge to relevant client cases
Understand and analyse technical client issues and undertake effective research towards providing tailored tax efficient solutions
Manage ad hoc advisory projects including International Tax and M&A projects (e.g. tax due diligence exercises and tax structuring advice).
Work with leadership to develop the business including undertaking/participating in business development and eminence initiatives.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree from a reputable university in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or International Tax related fields
Currently pursuing or have obtained the ACA/ACCA or ADIT professional qualification
Experience in International Tax and/or M&A will be considered an advantage
International experience working in tax (e.g. International Tax and M&A) will be considered an advantage
At least 3 – 4 years of relevant experience in a Professional Services organization
Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
Excellent computer literacy and strong Microsoft Excel skills
Team player attitude, a creative thinker and fast learner
Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
Excellent organisational skills
