Job Description
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit, Accounting, Tax & Advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Tax Compliance Assistant Manager to join their growing team based in Larnaca. The successful candidate will work closely with the Tax Principal, and the wider team in assisting local and international clients with their Cyprus tax obligations, tax planning matters, and day-to-day communication with the Cyprus Tax Department. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, or a related discipline, who possess at least 4+ years of relevant experience in Cyprus tax compliance and/or tax advisory. Holders of, or those working towards a professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, ADIT or similar, are encouraged to apply, and you will need to have good knowledge of Cyprus tax law, including corporate income tax, personal income tax, Special Defence Contribution, GHS, capital allowances, and tax filing obligations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review the preparation and submission of Cyprus income tax returns, temporary tax calculations, defence tax forms and other tax filings for individuals and companies.
- Prepare and/or review relevant tax forms, including TD1, TD4, TD7, TD614, TD623, and any other forms required for Cyprus tax purposes.
- Assist with Cyprus tax registrations, tax residency certificate applications, tax clearances and correspondence with the Cyprus Tax Department.
- Prepare Tax Due Diligence Reports.
- Liaise directly with clients, the Cyprus Tax Department and other authorities on routine and more complex tax matters.
- Support the Tax Principal in tax advisory projects, including Cyprus tax opinions, tax rulings, group restructurings, cross-border matters and international tax planning.
- Assist with transfer pricing compliance and advisory work, including Summary Information Tables, Local File coordination, simplified TP documentation and related-party transaction reviews.
- Review client information, identify tax risks and opportunities, and assist in preparing practical recommendations.
- Monitor tax deadlines and ensure that client obligations are properly tracked and completed on time.
- Participate in client meetings, internal tax discussions and advisory planning.
- Support and guide more junior team members where required.
- Maintain accurate internal records and contribute to the continuous improvement of the tax department’s procedures.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, or a related discipline.
- At least 4–6 years of relevant experience in Cyprus tax compliance and/or tax advisory.
- Professional qualification, or progress towards a qualification, such as ACCA, ACA, ADIT or similar, will be considered an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Cyprus tax law, including corporate income tax, personal income tax, Special Defence Contribution, GHS, capital allowances and tax filing obligations.
- Familiarity with Cyprus Tax Department procedures and official guidance.
- Good accounting knowledge and ability to understand financial statements and tax computations.
- Exposure to transfer pricing, international tax or corporate structuring will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and eagerness to continue learning.
- Ability to manage deadlines, communicate with clients and work independently.
- Professional attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to develop within a growing tax team.
