GAC Auditors Ltd is a reputable and dynamic audit and advisory firm based in Larnaca, providing high-quality services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients. Due to expansion of our tax department we are seeking to recruit a Trainee to join our team.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of Cyprus corporate income tax computations and tax returns for local and international clients
• Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other tax-related filings
• Assist with provisional tax calculations, tax assessments and compliance deadlines
• Prepare and maintain tax working papers, supporting schedules and client documentation
• Assist senior colleagues with tax research and the application of Cyprus tax legislation
• Support the preparation of responses to routine tax authority queries and client tax enquiries
• Communicate professionally with clients and liaise with colleagues to obtain information required for tax compliance
• Assist with other tax compliance and advisory assignments under the supervision of senior team members

Requirements:

• University degree with a classification of 2:1 or above, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in tax, accounting or a professional services environment will be considered an advantage
• Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal; additional languages will be considered an advantage
• Professional demeanour with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good computer literacy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a dynamic environment
• Strong team player with the ability to meet strict deadlines when required
