We are currently looking to recruit an experienced, passionate and creative Sous Chef with exceptional team management skills.&nbsp; The Sous Chef will be reporting to the Executive Chef.&nbsp;&nbsp;The main responsibilities of this position are:<ul><li>&nbsp;Support the Executive Chef in the development and update of the menus</li><li>Produce high quality plates (taste and design) and ensure that all plates are prepared according to the menu standards</li><li>Coordinate the daily operation of the kitchens including sufficient number of employees, cleanliness and tidiness of the facilities as per the hotel’s guidelines and health, safety, hygiene and quality standards</li><li>&nbsp;Ensure that the kitchen operates within the approved budgets</li><li>Assist in the food cost estimation</li><li>Manage the inventory of the department</li><li>Ensure for the good reputation of the restaurants and when necessary, take initiatives for improvements&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure that the kitchen facilities and equipment are maintained properly at all times</li><li>Create and maintain a friendly, inclusive, and supportive working environment</li><li>Supervise, inspire, mentor, and develop the team</li></ul>&nbsp;The ideal professional shall have the following qualifications, experiences and skills:<ul><li>Diploma or University degree in Culinary studies or any other related field</li><li>Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar role in a 5-star hotel or high end restaurant</li><li>Excellent knowledge of the HACCP requirements, health, safety, and hygiene requirements</li><li>Excellent knowledge of several cuisines and cooking techniques</li><li>Very good knowledge of Greek &amp; English languages</li><li>Excellent management skills with hands-on approach</li><li>Strong decision making &amp; problem-solving capabilities</li><li>Guest-oriented mindset</li><li>Creative and innovative mindset</li><li>Ability to work under pressure</li><li>Attention to detail, especially in food presentation and food quality and taste</li><li>Pleasant and integer personality</li><li>Flexibility and adaptability</li></ul>A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the selected candidate!If you are intrigued by the idea of joining our team, we will be happy to receive your CV at <a href="mailto:hr@thenineshotel.eu">hr@thenineshotel.eu</a>.
