Description: We are seeking a Junior Doctor/ Biomedical Scientist to assist mainly with medical reports and lab support. The role includes typing and formatting medical reports dictated by a senior doctor, as well as assisting with laboratory tasks such as data entry, organizing slides, labeling cassettes, and participating in the macroscopic processing of specimens under supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Main task is to assist with medical reporting of pathology specimens which requires good knowledge of medical terminology
Transcribe, edit, and format medical reports accurately
Support general laboratory workflow and administrative tasks
Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of patient information
Assist in macroscopic examination and processing of specimens, initially under guidance
Requirements:
Relevant field of study
Fluency in English & comfortable with medical terminology (required)
Good typing speed and accuracy
Strong attention to detail
Good organisational and time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Basic computer skills (e.g. MS Word, data entry)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
Interest or exposure to pathology/laboratory medicine
Previous experience in medical transcription or clinical documentation
Familiarity with laboratory procedures
