Job Description

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for maintaining accurate accounting books and records

·    Recording accounting transactions (invoices, receipts, payments, accruals, prepayments etc.) in accordance with applicable IFRS

·         Issuing of invoices, credit notes, receipts and communicating with clients

·         Assisting in the receivables collection process

·         Liaising and communicating with suppliers

·         Reconciliation of bank, receivables, and payables balances

·         Maintaining VAT registers and preparing VAT return

·         Preparing any ad hoc reports and analysis (mainly in Microsoft Excel)

·         Assisting in monthly, quarterly and year end closing processes and reporting

·         Assisting in the annual audit process by gathering and providing information to auditors

·      Assisting in other accounting/analytical procedures in order to gain extended knowledge and expertise (e.g. payroll, variance analysis, preparation of budgets and consolidated FS etc.)

 

Key Skills:

·         Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information

·         Multitask and committed to deadlines

·         Excellent knowledge of accounting principles

·         Good knowledge of accounting software Business Central will be considered an advantage

·         Excellent organizational, time management, communication, administrative and interpersonal skills

·         Good knowledge and understanding of VAT and Tax legislations

·         Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

·         Competent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)

·         Ability to work both alone and as part of a team

·         Fluency in English and Greek

 

Education/Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.

·       Professional qualifications (e.g. LCCI) will be considered an advantage.

·       1-2 years of relevant work experience in accounting
