Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Group’s Compliance activities in Cyprus, while providing regulatory guidance on compliance matters affecting the Group's international operations. He/she must develop internal compliance policies, procedures and controls, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, monitoring regulatory developments, and acting as the primary compliance advisor to the Board and management. 

Key Responsibilities

Compliance Framework and Policies

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the Group’s compliance activities.
• Develop and update corporate policies, procedures (AML, Due Diligence, Anti-bribery and Corruption etc) and internal controls.
• Monitor compliance governance processes and reporting mechanisms.
• Develop compliance monitoring plans and perform periodic reviews.
• Identify compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and support teams in implementing effective controls.
• Promote a strong ethical culture throughout the organisation.
• Develop compliance awareness programmes and deliver trainings.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor regulatory developments, of the Group’s international operations.
• Advise management on the impact of new laws and regulatory changes.
• Coordinate with external legal advisors where specialist jurisdictional advice is required.

Corporate Governance

• Support management in implementing good corporate governance practices.
• Maintain compliance registers, reporting and regulatory documentation.
• Support the Board and management with governance-related matters.

Audits & Investigations

• Support internal and external compliance audits.
• Investigate compliance incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain records of compliance findings and remediation activities.
