CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established importer and distributor of premium alcoholic beverages across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Commercial Director to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As a Commercial Director, you will lead the commercial activity of the Group’s trading hub in Cyprus, driving growth in sales, margins, and the partner portfolio. Our client is seeking applicants who possess extensive experience in relevant commercial roles, with exposure to FMCG, beverages, wholesale, distribution, and/or international trading strongly preferred. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a generous base salary, performance-based bonus, 13th salary, and company car. Standard working hours are from 08:30 – 17:30 from Monday to Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy and annual business plan.
• Drive revenue, sales volume, gross margin, and profitability.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, customers, suppliers, and distribution partners.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
• Lead negotiations on major commercial agreements, pricing, and trading terms.
• Develop the company's product portfolio and identify opportunities for new brands and markets.
• Own and monitor the commercial P&L, including revenue, margins, and operating costs.
• Set commercial targets and KPIs and monitor performance against agreed objectives.
• Lead and develop the commercial team, ensuring clear objectives, accountability, and performance.
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, HR, Legal and Group functions.
• Report regularly to the CEO and Board on commercial performance, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Support the operational side of the business where required, particularly logistics, trading, and supply chain activities.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• University degree in Business, Economics, International Trade, or related fields.
• MBA is an advantage.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in commercial/trading roles.
• Minimum 5+ years in leadership positions.
• Experience in FMCG, beverages, wholesale, distribution, or international trading is strongly preferred.
• Experience operating or managing an international entity is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and business development skills.
• Strategic mindset with a strong P&L/results orientation.
• Knowledge of trade finance, international logistics and Incoterms.
• Fluent English  and Greek; another language is a plus.
• Leadership skills and ability to manage a small, cross-cultural team.
• Comfortable operating within a complex, multi-entity group environment.
