Accounts Payable Officer

The successful candidate will have practical accounting or bookkeeping experience and will be responsible primarily for the accurate processing of supplier invoices, recording accounting transactions, maintaining supplier accounts and carrying out supplier reconciliations.

This is a stable, operational Accounts Payable position within an established Accounting Department, suited to someone looking for a long-term role focused on accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Processing and recording supplier invoices in the ERP system
• Recording routine accounting entries and transactions
• Performing supplier statement and account reconciliations
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in supplier accounts
• Assisting with supplier payment processing
• Supporting bank and other routine accounting reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assisting the Accounting Department with general Accounts Payable and bookkeeping activities

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable, bookkeeping or a similar accounting role
• Good understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
• Good knowledge of debit and credit entries
• Experience with supplier reconciliations and invoice processing
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with an ERP/accounting system
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Greek
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications:

•  A diploma, degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or a related field will be considered an advantage
