G.A.P. Vassilopoulos Group is currently seeking to recruit an experienced À La Carte Cook to join the culinary team of The Classic Hotel, a 4-star hotel located in the heart of Nicosia, Cyprus.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated culinary professional with proven à la carte cooking experience, who is passionate about food quality, consistency and delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook à la carte dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure consistent quality, taste and presentation of all dishes.
• Organise and maintain the assigned kitchen station efficiently throughout service.
• Ensure proper preparation and availability of ingredients before each service.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures at all times.
• Ensure the proper storage, handling and rotation of food products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and work areas.
• Monitor food quality and minimise waste through proper preparation and portion control.
• Assist with stock control and report shortages when required.
• Comply with all hotel standards, policies and kitchen procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous professional experience in an à la carte kitchen is essential.
• Proven ability to prepare and execute à la carte dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
• Strong teamwork, organisational and time-management skills.
• Professional culinary qualification will be considered an advantage.
• Previous experience in a hotel or high-quality restaurant environment will be considered an advantage.
