The Client:
On behalf of our client, an international robotics startup headquartered in Cyprus with operations in Germany, we are looking for a hands-on Head of Legal to build and lead the legal function.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and oversee the group’s legal framework across all entities (Cyprus HQ, German subsidiary, and future jurisdictions).
- Serve as the primary legal expert for the Cyprus entity, ensuring proper documentation (board packs, resolutions, compliance).
- Build scalable legal systems from 0→1 and from 1→10, ensuring structure, clarity, and consistency across the group.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs, partnership and licensing agreements, and supplier terms.
- Manage corporate governance, including board meetings, shareholder resolutions, filings, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee regulatory matters, including AI Act, EU Machinery Regulation/CE marking, GDPR, and other applicable EU/DE/CY compliance requirements (with external specialists).
- Support trade compliance and export-control obligations as the robotics platform scales internationally.
- Oversee IP matters together with external counsel: patents, trademarks, copyright, and technology licensing.
- Contribute to international structuring, investment rounds, and due-diligence preparation.
- Assist in intercompany arrangements (services, licensing, cost-sharing) together with tax/finance teams.
- Liaise with regulators, notaries, and other authorities when required.
- Develop internal legal policies, templates, and approval workflows to streamline operations.
- Support founders in strategic and operational decisions with legal insight and risk assessment.
- Coordinate proactively with external advisors (Cyprus, Germany, EU) to minimize risks and accelerate execution.
Skills - Qualifications – Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in legal or corporate law roles in Cyprus (experience with international structures preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Cyprus corporate, commercial, and contract law; familiarity with EU and German frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent English drafting and communication skills.
- Experience in top-tier firms or similar environments is an advantage.
- Structured thinking.

Location:
The position is for the Company’s offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Remuneration:
An attractive remuneration package according to the candidate’s experience and qualifications, including the participation in the Company's stock option plan (Euro 100K-180K).
