They are looking for a motivated Junior Systems Administrator to join their team, gain hands-on experience with modern technologies, and support the day-to-day operation of their IT infrastructure.

Our client is a fast-growing technology company specializing in IT infrastructure and managed services. With a strong and expanding client base, they are looking for a motivated Junior Systems Administrator to join their technical team and grow their career in systems administration.

Responsibilities
 

Infrastructure & Systems

• Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of Linux servers
• Perform routine system updates, patching, and user account management
• Support the configuration and maintenance of core IT services

Virtualization & Cloud

• Help provision and maintain virtual machines
• Assist with backups and basic cloud administration
• Learn and support cloud platforms such as Hetzner and AWS

Networking

• Support the maintenance of routers, firewalls, and VPNs
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues
• Assist with LAN, WAN, and VLAN administration

Security & Backup

• Monitor system health and security alerts
• Assist with backup operations and recovery testing
• Apply security updates and follow IT security best practices

Monitoring & Automation

• Monitor infrastructure using monitoring tools
• Respond to alerts and escalate issues when needed
• Assist with simple automation tasks and scripting

Support & Operations

• Provide technical support to users and internal teams
• Help maintain technical documentation
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and migrations

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in Systems Administration, IT Support, or a similar technical role (internships or apprenticeships are also considered)
• Basic knowledge of Linux administration
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs)
• Familiarity with virtualization concepts (Proxmox, VMware, or Hyper-V is a plus)
• Basic knowledge of routers and firewalls
• Willingness to learn scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
• Basic understanding of Windows Server environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment
