The Client
A Cyprusbased joint venture and operating as an energy company. Through its modern infrastructure and operations, the Company supports the needs of the Cyprus energy market by providing essential services for LPG.
Responsibilities
A great opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join the team, with primary responsibility for the maintenance and reliability of the Plant equipment and systems. Main responsibilities include:
- Oversee and recommend regular technical audits to identify areas of improvement for the LPG Plant with an aim to increase production output, maintain high safety standards, ensure measuring equipment accuracy, and minimize any other related risks.
- Ensure and enforce product quality control standards.
Maintenance (primary focus)
- Plan, organize and supervise all onsite maintenance work, preventive and corrective activities, and inspection schedules for the LPG Plant.
- Lead, coordinate and mentor the maintenance and inspection team, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and inspection schedules, interventions and reports.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and improve reliability of equipment (storage tanks, pumps, pipelines, compressors, automation systems and port area equipment).
- Recommend and implement improvements in maintenance strategies, spare parts management and reliability systems.
Operations (secondary focus)
- Oversee operations related to cylinders filling and reconditioning, bulk tank-truck loading and general plant functions. Implements and maintains high Environmental, Health and Safety standards in the workplace.
- Manage the Plant's Operations from the Control Room.
Profile of the ideal candidate
- University degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in industrial electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Very good knowledge of HSSE systems
- Engineering background with strong technical expertise and disciplined approach to operations and management
- Exposure to or experience in HSSE management, site operations management, compliance management, and team coordination
- Very good administrative and communication skills
- Strong leadership and personnel empowerment skills
- Willingness to learn and to pass on knowledge to staff
- Very good knowledge of both Greek and English
