VACANCY NOTICE

Retail Manager

CTC-ARI Airports Ltd, a member of the Aer Rianta International (ARI) Group and the operator of the Cyprus Duty-Free shops at Larnaka and Pafos International Airports, is seeking to recruit an experienced and commercially driven Retail Manager to lead our large-scale, multi-site retail operation across Cyprus' international airports.

The Role

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving sales performance, delivering exceptional customer experience, and leading a complex retail operation with significant turnover, multiple retail formats, and a workforce of over 400 employees.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious retail leader looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Retail Manager will have full responsibility for the sales budget and the operations of the retail business across all locations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving sales growth, profitability, and operational efficiency through effective commercial planning and performance management.

• Leading the execution of retail initiatives, promotional campaigns, seasonal trading plans, and customer engagement activities.

• Providing strategic oversight and direction for the execution of all marketing activities, whether in store, online or externally in the local market

• Monitoring key business indicators, including sales performance, conversion rates, profitability, passenger trends, and customer behaviour, while translating insights into actionable improvement plans.

• Ensuring the highest standards of customer experience across all customer touchpoints, including in-store and omnichannel services.

• Leading continuous improvement initiatives across retail operations, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, stock integrity, security, cash control, and audit requirements.

• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contributing to the ongoing development of the business at both strategic and operational levels.

• Working closely with Buying, Marketing, HR, Finance, Planning, and other business functions to ensure alignment and delivery of commercial objectives.

• Leading, developing, and inspiring a large management and frontline workforce, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, customer service, talent development, and succession planning.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring:

• At least 10 years of senior retail leadership experience, including responsibility for multi-site operations or businesses of comparable scale and complexity.

• Airport, travel retail, duty-free, or other high-volume customer-facing environments will be considered a strong advantage.

• A degree or professional qualification in Business, Commerce, Retail Management, or a related discipline will be considered an advantage.

• Strong commercial, financial, and analytical capabilities with proven experience managing large budgets and performance targets.

• Experience leading large teams through managers and developing high-performing leadership teams.

• A track record of delivering business growth, operational excellence, and customer-focused transformation.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.

• Fluency in English. Greek will be considered an advantage.
