Safe Bulkers Management Ltd a well established and reputable shipping company located in Limassol (CY) is seeking to recruit a Supply Officer that is collaborative, result oriented with critical thinking and integrity. 

Requirements : 

a) Previous experience in Supply/Purchasing will be considered an advantage 

b) Academic degree recognized by national authorities in Shipping or Economics or Supply Chain Management 

c) Diplomas be awarded with distinction will be highly considered 

d) Knowledge of Danaos software (i.e. Supply module) is considered an advantage 

e) Excellent command of English and computer literacy f) Hard working person with desire to learn 

g) Adaptability to work under pressure 

Duties : 

1) Handling all inquiries (Spares, stores, lubricants, chemicals, provisions, etc) of a fleet 

2) Works under the supervision of Fleet Supervisor, performing all duties assigned to him/her. 

3) Request and evaluate quotations based on the cost and availability of items, urgency of the requisition, quality of goods offered, their environmental performance, proximity of supplier to vessel, delivery time etc. 

4) Follow up and control all pending requisitions to ensure all requirements are processed and concluded properly 

5) Upon readiness of the orders, based on vessel's schedule, prepare all cases to be delivered on board vessel by minimizing the forwarding cost 

6) Inform all parties in charge for the forwarded consignments (vessel, agents etc.) prior to vessel's arrival 7) Upon receiving the Delivery Receipts/Service Reports, supply office has to ensure that any non-delivered critical items or unsatisfactory service results will be re-addressed and reprocessed 

8) Monitor relevant invoices and prepare payments accordingly, ensuring that all terms / prices are same as initially quoted 

9) Communicating with various vendors around the globe, vessels and rest departments to ensure best outcome.
