Spares and Logistics Officer

Job Description

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing requisitions of spares submitted by vessels
  • Issuing requisitions for spares from office side
  • Update and input items/parts in machineries in the system for the Fleet.
  • Sending out inquiries for quotations to various suppliers.
  • Analysing quotations and submitting evaluations to the technical/purchasing manager.
  • Placing orders and arranging the safe and economical delivery of requested items to respective vessels at convenient ports.
  • Evaluating supplier offers based on performance, pricing, quality, payment terms, and previous cooperation.
  • Arranging shipments word wide for the whole fleet as needed

 Key Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations
  • Knowledge of international logistics and port operations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
