The Client
An international private Group with a Family Office in Nicosia.
Responsibilities
A great opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join the accounting team of the Company.
Main responsibilities include:
• Assume responsibility for accounting for a group of local and international companies with mostly holding and investment activities
• Support audit process, preparing relevant documentation, liaising with external auditors as part of the preparation and completion of annual statutory audit
• Monitor and analyze tax developments and informing management about important updates
• Liaise with local authorities if needed
• Produce periodical management accounts
• Support management with the preparation of various financial reports
• Coordinate with other team members regarding accounting and audit matters
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Qualified or Part-Qualified member of a professional accounting body (ACA/ACCA) – will be considered an advantage
• At least 3 years of experience in an Accountant position with similar responsibilities
• Profound knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Good knowledge of the Cyprus tax legislation and previous experience with Tax and VAT matters – will be considered an advantage
• Knowledgeable of IFRS and their practical application – will be considered an advantage
• Able to work independently as well as operate well within a team
• Self-motivated with very good interpersonal and communication skills
• Forward-thinking, with strong professional discipline and analytical skills
• Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Positive and proactive attitude with an ability to work well under pressure of deadlines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Tech savvy – Excellent knowledge and use of MS Office suite and Accounting systems
• Very good knowledge of both Greek and English (oral & written).
