Accountant / VAT Officer (Dual Role)
Job Description
Responsibilities:
This job position has the following responsibilities and duties:
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with regulations
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist in the preparation of management accounts
- Experience in accounting and preparation of financial statements and reconciling accounts
- Reconcile VAT accounts and ensure proper documentation
- Process invoices and manage bookkeeping tasks
- Work with accounting software to record and manage financial transactions.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have the following skills, education, and experience:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years relevant experience
- ACCA qualified or in progress
- Skilled in VAT compliance, Social Insurance, and Tax authorities
- Proficient with accounting software (e.g., E-soft, Odoo)
- Strong analytical, organisational, and time-management skills
- Effective team player and independent worker
- Excellent Greek and English communication skills
- IT literate and adaptable
- High integrity with a positive, proactive attitude.
