Are you a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional looking to grow your career? We are seeking an Accounting Associate to join our team and support the Accounts Manager in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality accounting services.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and record financial transactions.
Prepare payroll reports.
Prepare VAT and VIES returns.
Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
Monitor debtor collections and follow up on outstanding balances.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and management accounts.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax, VAT, and accounting regulations.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Liaise with clients, auditors, banks, government authorities, and other external associates as required.
Provide administrative and accounting support to the Accounts Manager and undertake other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
LCCI Higher in Accounting (minimum requirement).
Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role for at least 3 years.
Professional qualifications (ACCA/ACA) or studies towards a professional qualification will be considered an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Familiarity with accounting software.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Excellent command of both Greek and English, written and spoken.

The Accountant is responsible for the internal accounting function of the company. He/she is responsible for preparing month-end management accounts, budgets and liaising with auditors regarding audit and tax computations. In addition, he /she will be responsible for the billing function of the company.
