Accounting Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities:
This job position has the following responsibilities and duties:
· Support the development and execution of the company's financial and operational strategies
· Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing
· Supervise, mentor, and review the work of the accounting team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
· Prepare and analyse management accounts, budgets, forecasts, cash flow reports, and financial statements
· Oversee the accounting and financial reporting of property acquisitions, developments, rental income, and other real estate transactions
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, VAT requirements, and statutory reporting obligations
· Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities
· Monitor cash flow, approve payments, and oversee the timely collection of receivables
· Present financial results and insights to senior management to support decision-making
· Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
· Perform other finance and accounting-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have the following skills, education, and experience:
· ACA/ACCA qualified with a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
· Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or senior accounting role
· Previous experience in the real estate, property development, or construction industry will be considered an advantage
· Excellent knowledge of IFRS, Cyprus tax legislation, VAT, and statutory reporting requirements
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. E-soft) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
· Excellent communication skills in Greek and English
· High level of integrity, professionalism, and a positive, proactive attitude.
