Accounts Assistant
Job Description
Iacovou Group, one of the most reputable and established Construction Groups in Cyprus and Abroad, seeks to recruit a professional for the position of Accounts Assistance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Processes invoices, receipts, payments and manages various day to day accounting related tasks
Prepares and records journal entries, account reconciliations and detailed reports (bookkeeping)
Conducts daily, weekly and monthly performance of bank and other reconciliations
Computes VAT and tax owed and prepares VAT return forms, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements
Conducts month end, quarterly and annual closing of accounts, audits and special projects
Reviews and processes expense accounts for accuracy and reasonableness according to the Group’s procedures
Follows and maintains accounting principles in compliance with reporting standards, external auditors and company policy
Communicates effectively with companies he/she supports, so as to ensure proper accounting for job costing, revenue and expense activities
Specific Requirements:
Higher diploma in accounting – LCCI/or experience in bookkeeping if no diploma
People management skills
Planning and organisation skills
Communication and interpersonal skills
Problem solving and decision-making skills
Computer literacy
- Analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent command of the Greek and English language, both verbal and written
