Job Purpose 

The Accounts Payable and Finance Officer ensures the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliations, and finance-related activities, in line with company policies, accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory requirements. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage supplier onboarding and maintain vendor records, KYC documentation, and related compliance requirements. 

• Process and verify supplier invoices, monitor related purchase orders and payment status, and resolve Basware workflow issues. 

• Reconcile supplier accounts, investigate outstanding balances, resolve queries, and prepare payment runs in coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders. 

• Support Accounts Payable month-end closing, including accruals, prepayments, General Ledger adjustments, and related procurement and contract administration. 

• Coordination of correspondence with suppliers, banks, auditors, regulatory authorities, and other external stakeholders. 

• Assistance with fixed asset accounting, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation reviews. 

• Support statutory, financial, management, and compliance reporting, internal control reviews, and internal and external audits by preparing the required information and documentation. 

• Maintenance of finance department records, filing systems, and document retention requirements. 

• Support for finance operations, ad hoc projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field would be considered an advantage. 

• Excellent organizational, teamwork, and time-management skills. 

• Experience in a similar position would be considered an advantage. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English. 

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
