AML / KYC Officer
Job Description
On behalf of a client, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive AML / KYC Officer to join their Compliance function. The role involves managing the full client onboarding and due diligence process and ensuring all required documentation and risk assessments are completed prior to submission for final approval.
Key Responsibilities
· Handle the end-to-end KYC and AML onboarding process for new and existing clients
· Communicate directly with clients to request, collect, and verify required documentation
· Conduct initial review and assessment of client information in line with AML regulations and internal policies
· Perform risk assessments and identify potential compliance issues or red flags
· Ensure all client files are complete, accurate, and properly documented in internal systems
· Maintain ongoing professional communications with clients throughout the onboarding process and periodic review process
· Prepare full compliance files for internal review and approval
· Ensure that all client files and processes are maintained in line with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, and are ready for review by external reviewers/ regulatory authorities where required
· Support ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews of client files
Requirements
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in AML / KYC compliance or a related field
· Experience in working with files subject to internal and external review processes
· Strong understanding of onboarding and due diligence procedures
· Demonstrated expertise in EU sanctions frameworks and solid working knowledge of U.S. sanctions regimes (including OFAC) Documentation discipline
· Skilled in analyzing inconsistencies, irregularities or gaps in client structures
· Excellent communication skills for client interaction
· Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
· Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
· High level of integrity and confidentiality
· Very good IT skills and ability to work with internal systems
