We’re on the lookout for an Assistant Pastry Chef who brings precision, creativity, and teamwork to our kitchen!

Job Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and presentation of a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
Support the Head Chef in daily operations of the pastry section, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
Prepare breakfast pastry items such as croissants, biscuits, and other baked goods.
Ensure all pastry items are prepared on time and in sufficient quantities for service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen in compliance with hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).
Ensure proper food labelling, storage, and stock rotation to prevent spoilage.
Assist in monitoring inventory levels and preparing requisitions for ingredients.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Support in minimizing waste and maintaining cost control procedures.
Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.
Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards to senior kitchen staff.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a pastry or bakery section, preferably within a 4-star or 5-star hotel or resort environment.
- Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Pastry/Baking is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of classical and contemporary pastry techniques.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Excellent communication skills in English and Greek.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and passion for pastry.
- Applicants must hold EU nationality without the need for visa sponsorship

Please note the salary range provided is in Gross and is regarding the indicative 6 day schedule. In the hotel industry as per legislation contracts are for 5 day work schedules with the one day off suspended and compensated on 1:1 leading to the indicative 6 day salary.
