Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:

·         Assist the Chief Accountant in the daily operations of the Accounts Department.

·         Support the review and processing of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.

·         Assist in the preparation of property management and internal financial reports.

·         Support the handling of internal and external accounting-related queries.

·         Assist in the preparation and review of VAT submissions.

·         Support the maintenance and smooth operation of accounting and ERP systems.

·         Assist in monitoring daily bank balances and preparing related summaries.

·         Liaise with auditors during the preparation of Group financial statements.

·         Assist in ensuring compliance with Cyprus tax legislation and internal financial policies.

·         Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for the Group.

·         Assist with data management, reconciliation tasks, and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

 

Necessary requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

·         Professional qualification (ACA / ACCA / CPA) or in advanced stages of completion will be considered an advantage

·         Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience (post-qualification or equivalent)

·         Good knowledge of IFRS and Cyprus tax legislation

·         Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)

·         Experience with accounting/ERP software will be considered an advantage

·         Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail

·         Ability to handle large volumes of data accurately

·         Good organisational and time management skills

·         Ability to multitask and work effectively under deadlines

·         Team player with willingness to learn and develop within a dynamic environment
