ProCareer Ltd. is recruiting on behalf of its client - an international bunker trader and physical supplier of marine fuel. With over 20 years of presence in the shipping and energy sectors, the company has built a strong reputation through long-term partnerships, commercial expertise, and a pragmatic approach to business.
We are currently seeking a hands-on Bookkeeper to join our team in Limassol to support daily financial operations in a fast-paced shipping environment.
This is a high-volume, detail-driven operational role, where accuracy, consistency, and the ability to follow processes are critical.
What you will be doing:
- Support day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations across a group of companies
- Issue and process invoices, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Record and allocate bank transactions, prepare and process online payments
- Monitor incoming payments from clients and manage supplier payment schedules, as well as credit line utilization and repayment schedules
- Prepare documentation and supporting materials for audits
- Assist in preparing documentation for banking and financing activities
- Support month-end closing by performing reconciliations and preparing accounting reports
- Perform other ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Good command of Greek and English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage evolving priorities
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team
- Experience in the maritime industry is an advantage
