Demetriades Group, a well-established and growing Group of companies in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Management Team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the Group’s financial operations, ensuring strong financial management, effective internal controls and accurate reporting, while also contributing to strategic business decisions and the continued growth and development of the Group.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Ability to supervise and manage the smooth operation of the Accounting Department.
Responsible for the preparation of Financial Statements.
Preparation of financial reporting and monthly management accounts.
Preparation of yearly closures.
Provide team support and supervision as well as training of new staff.
Ensure that proper financial procedures and systems are adhered to and maintained.
Responsible for the setup and ongoing monitoring of internal controls.
Preparation of Trial Budgets and Cash Flow management.
Coordinate and maintain a cash forecasting system to ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the working requirements.
Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
Ensures positive business relations with the partnering banks.
Develops, monitors and control the financial and tax procedures according to the Company's plan with the goal of minimizing costs/taxes and maximizing profits.
Participate in key decisions as a member of the Executive Management team.
Provide analysis and reports as per company Management in a timely and accurate way.
Completion of Quarterly Profit and Loss re-forecasting, to report expected yearly revised outturn.
Oversee the issuance of financial information.
Report financial results to the Board of Directors.
Monitors budget and ensures that expenses do not exceed the budget of the company.
Designs the credit policy of the company and monitors its efficient management of receipt/payments methods to succeed in decreasing the credit risk.
Key Skills/Experience:
Proven experience as CFO or relevant role
Member of ACA or ACCA or equivalent professional body
BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
MSc/MBA will be considered an advantage
Fluency in English and Greek
In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Proficient in the use of MS Office and accounting management software
Ability to strategize and solve problems
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and people skills
