Civil Engineer
Job Description
Civil Engineer
Reports directly to the Management
Who we are
Technivon Engineering Ltd is a construction and civil engineering company delivering building, industrial, commercial, infrastructure, and specialist engineering projects throughout Cyprus. Our work ranges from general building construction and commercial fit-outs to technically demanding civil and structural works within live industrial and energy facilities.
We are committed to engineering excellence, quality, safety, and practical innovation, and are looking for an ambitious Civil Engineer to join our growing team.
What the job actually looks like
On a typical week you would:
Take a project from handover through to completion — programme, resources, subcontractors, quality, close-out.
Set out and verify works, check levels and dimensions, and sign off inspection records before the next trade moves in.
Run the daily site: labour and plant allocation, sequencing, material call-offs.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants & client representatives.
Prepare method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, inspection records and progress reports.
Enforce our QA/QC and HSE procedures on site — and, where they are not working, tell us so we can fix them.
- Solve the problems that drawings do not anticipate and make the call.
What we need from you
- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Registration with ETEK, or eligibility to register.
- At least 5 years on construction sites in an execution role. If you have 3+ strong years and can demonstrate real site responsibility, apply anyway — we want to read it.
- Sound grasp of construction methods, reinforced concrete, setting-out, QA/QC and HSE obligations.
- CAD and Microsoft Office to a working standard.
- Fluent Greek and English.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to sites across Cyprus.
- The judgement to know which problems you solve yourself and which ones need a phone call.
Helpful, not essential
- Work inside operating facilities (permit-to-work systems, confined space, hot works).
- MS Project planning experience.
- BIM platforms, Revit, or Civil 3D.
- NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent safety qualification.
What we offer
- €35,000– €40,000 gross annually, paid over 13 salaries, reviewed annually against performance.
- Company vehicle and fuel card for site travel.
- ETEK subscription fees paid, plus funded trainings.
- Genuine progression: this role is the direct route to Project Manager as our portfolio grows.
- Direct working relationship with the company’s management — your ideas get heard in the same week you have them.
Before you apply, the honest part
We are a contractor, not a consultancy. Sites start early and there are weeks — not many, but some — where the programme demands long days. Work inside operating facilities means permits, inductions and paperwork that can feel disproportionate until you understand why they exist.
In exchange, you will not be bored and you will not be micromanaged. You will learn to work inside operating facilities — permits, sequencing around live plant, documentation that stands up to a client audit — skills that you do not pick up on an ordinary building site. If that sounds like the right trade, we should talk.
How to Apply
Send your CV to info@technivon.com with the subject line “Civil Engineer – [Your Name]”.
A short covering note is welcome but not required. If you write one, tell us about one project you worked on and one thing that went wrong on it.
We read every application and reply to every applicant within 10 working days, whether the answer is yes or no. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an informal discussion, followed by a site visit so you can see what you would be taking on.
