CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established engineering company that provides design and manufacturing solutions to the dairy industry, we are seeking to recruit a CNC Operator to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of CNC Laser Cutting Machines in a sheet metal production environment. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering, or another closely related field, who ideally possess previous experience as CNC operators. You will need to have strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, and be keen to learn and develop within a fast-paced environment. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Operation of CNC Laser Cutting Machine for plates.
• Operation of CNC Laser Cutting Machine for tubes.
• Operation of CNC Press Machine for plates.
• Understand specifications of the task and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings.
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to provide optimal results.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
• Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
• Attending workshops and training sessions, to learn from others and stay on top of the field needs.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Previous experience as a CNC Operator or in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is desirable.
• Proficiency with measuring tools and instruments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
