Reports To: Executive Chef
 

Job Profile:

Ararat – The Signature Collection is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Cook B to join our culinary team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a luxury hospitality environment, working alongside experienced chefs and contributing to the delivery of high-quality dining experiences.

The Cook B will support kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to the standards of a 5-star establishment.

 

Job Description:

·        Assist Cook A and the Executive Chef with food preparation and cooking tasks

·        Prepare ingredients and dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards

·        Ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of food items

·        Maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in assigned kitchen areas

·        Support stock control by ensuring proper storage, rotation, and freshness of ingredients

·        Always follow all food safety and hygiene standards

·        Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service

·        Assist in maintaining high standards of food presentation and portion control

·        Support daily kitchen operations as required         

 

Person Specification:

·        Previous experience as a Cook B or in a similar role within a professional kitchen (hospitality experience and à la carte service considered an advantage)

·        Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment

·        Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

·        Strong willingness to learn and develop within a professional kitchen environment

·        Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

·        Good organizational skills and attention to detail

·        Positive attitude and strong work ethic

 

Work Environment:

·        Fast-paced, guest-focused luxury hospitality setting

·        Requires standing for extended periods

·        Adherence to grooming and uniform standards
