This position offers a rare opportunity to run an entire digital marketing function, currently handled by external agencies, from within a professional corporate environment.
The successful candidate will lead our search engine optimisation, manage our Google Ads campaigns, and position the firm as a cited authority within AI search platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity. This role is ideal for a candidate who combines technical SEO ability with commercial judgement and wishes to own strategy and results rather than execute instructions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver the firm's SEO strategy, covering keyword research, content architecture, on-page optimisation and technical performance.
Plan and produce content clusters on the firm's core service areas, working from technical material provided by the advisory team.
Build the firm's domain authority through legitimate channels, including professional bodies, chambers of commerce, government and diplomatic directories, and industry publications.
Optimise the firm's visibility within AI and answer engines, ensuring our content is structured, current and citable by generative search platforms.
Monitor how the firm and its competitors appear across AI assistants and address the gaps identified.
Manage Google Ads campaigns end to end, including campaign structure, keywords, ad copy, landing pages, bidding and budget allocation.
Evaluate paid performance on cost per qualified enquiry and client value rather than on clicks or impressions.
Write, commission and edit articles, guides, landing pages and other website content, submitting all technical material for approval by the advisory team.
Maintain and improve the company website on WordPress, covering page speed, indexation, site structure, forms and conversion tracking.
Manage tracking and reporting through Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager and the firm's CRM.
Prepare monthly performance reports for management, explaining results, spend and recommended next steps.
Support the firm's LinkedIn presence and email marketing campaigns with appropriate content.
Coordinate with external suppliers including web developers, hosting providers and freelance contributors, and take over work currently performed by external agencies.
Research developments in search, paid advertising and AI visibility, and prepare practical recommendations for the firm.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience improving the search rankings or organic traffic of a website, whether professionally, through a client project or through your own project.
Practical working knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4.
Familiarity with an SEO platform such as Ahrefs, Semrush or equivalent.
Experience with Google Ads, or a Google Ads certification together with a clear understanding of campaign structure and bidding.
A genuine interest in AI search and answer engine optimisation, and awareness of how they are changing organic visibility.
Excellent written English, with the ability to produce clear and accurate content on technical subjects.
The ability to research an unfamiliar technical topic, ask informed questions and produce reliable material from the answers.
Strong analytical skills and comfort working with performance data.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities and take responsibility for results.
Familiarity with WordPress and basic on-page elements such as meta data and structured data will be considered an advantage.
Prior experience marketing a professional services or regulated business will be considered an advantage.
Professional communication skills in English (Greek will be considered an advantage).
