Job Summary: The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for guests and staff. This includes electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and general maintenance work in accordance with hotel standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the hotel (guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house).
Inspect and maintain electrical systems, lighting, outlets, and wiring.
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, HVAC systems, and water heaters.
Conduct preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
Ensure all maintenance work meets safety, health, and quality standards.
Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
Record and report maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
Support special projects and renovation work when needed.
Coordinate with housekeeping and front office to minimize guest disturbance during maintenance.
Assist contractors and external service providers when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Technical diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, or related field.
Previous experience as a maintenance technician, ideally in a hotel or hospitality environment.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Basic computer literacy (for maintenance logs and reports).
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically fit and able to lift, climb, or work in confined spaces.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duties.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
