Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of swimming pools and fountains to ensure optimal cleanliness and appearance.
- Monitor, test, and adjust water chemical levels (chlorine, pH, etc.) in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Clean and maintain pool filters, pumps, skimmers, and related pool equipment.
- Inspect pool areas, deck surfaces, and pool furniture to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Identify, report, and assist in resolving technical faults, damages, or irregularities to the Line Manager or Chief Engineer.
- Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
- Complete and maintain accurate pool maintenance logs and chemical records.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report damaged or missing items.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with other hotel departments to support smooth operations.
- Participate in on-call shifts for emergency pool-related maintenance during nights, weekends, or holidays.
- Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Adhere fully to AYA Resort Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management that are reasonably related to the role and necessary for the efficient operation of the resort.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in pool maintenance, preferably within a hotel or resort environment.
- Good knowledge of pool chemicals, water treatment processes, and pool maintenance equipment.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of Greek is a strong advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in hot weather and lift/move equipment.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.
- Applicants must hold EU nationality without the need for visa sponsorship.
