Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead and own the full people function at MIMAP Construction. The role covers the complete employee lifecycle, from attracting and hiring talent through to performance evaluation, development, and retention. The HR Manager will run recruitment end to end, manage the employee evaluation process, and act as the main point of reference for managers and staff on all people matters.
This is a hands on role suited to someone with 5 to 6 years of progressive HR experience who can operate both strategically and at an operational level.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
- Own the full recruitment process, from workforce planning and job description creation to sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
- Partner with department heads to understand hiring needs and define role requirements.
- Manage job postings, candidate pipelines, and relationships with recruitment agencies and job platforms.
- Conduct structured interviews and coordinate assessments, reference checks, and selection decisions.
- Improve time to hire, quality of hire, and the overall candidate experience.
Performance Management and Employee Evaluation
- Design, run, and continuously improve the employee evaluation and performance appraisal cycle.
- Set the evaluation calendar, prepare templates and criteria, and guide managers through the review process.
- Support goal setting, feedback conversations, and calibration across teams.
- Track performance outcomes and translate them into development, promotion, or corrective action plans.
- Ensure evaluations are fair, consistent, and aligned with company objectives.
Onboarding and Offboarding
- Deliver a structured onboarding experience for new hires and coordinate induction across departments.
- Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and analysis of turnover trends.
Employee Relations and Engagement
- Act as the first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and grievances.
- Promote a positive working environment and support employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
- Advise managers on people issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
Learning and Development
- Identify training needs from evaluation results and business priorities.
- Plan and coordinate training programs and support career development paths.
Compensation, Benefits, and Administration
- Support salary reviews, benefits administration, and internal equity.
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
- Oversee payroll input coordination with finance where required.
HR Policy, Compliance, and Reporting
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour law and employment regulations.
- Maintain HR systems and produce regular reporting on headcount, turnover, hiring, and performance metrics.
Requirements
- 5 to 6 years of experience in an HR role, with demonstrated ownership of recruitment and performance evaluation.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the full employee lifecycle and HR best practice.
- Solid understanding of labour law and employment regulations.
- Proven experience running recruitment and appraisal processes independently.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Confident using HR systems, applicant tracking tools, and standard office software.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Preferred
- Professional HR qualification or certification.
- Experience in a professional services or consultancy environment.
- Exposure to HR systems implementation or process improvement projects.
