Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Client consultation: Discuss client needs, preferences, budgets, and project requirements.
- Space planning: Organize layouts to maximize space, functionality, comfort, and flow.
- Material and furniture selection: Choose flooring, lighting, furniture, fabrics, finishes, and decorative elements.
- Technical drawings: Prepare kitchen/ceiling plans.
- Project coordination: Work with architects, contractors, suppliers, and other professionals.
- Site inspections: Monitor progress and ensure the work follows the approved design.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Creativity and a strong sense of design, color, and proportion.
- Knowledge of space planning, materials, lighting, and interior finishes.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or 3D rendering tools.
- Good communication, presentation, and client-service skills.
- Project management, organization, and time-management abilities.
- Understanding of building regulations, accessibility, and safety requirements.
- A degree, in interior design.
- Previous experience in interior design or a related field, with knowledge of space planning, materials, furniture selection, and design software.
