About the team:

The PRIME Architects Team is responsible for all aspects of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering & analysis, design, coding, unit testing, implementation, and maintenance of the code. 

As part of our modernization journey, our teams leverage cloud-native technologies, AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, DevOps practices, and AI-enabled development capabilities to transform how payment solutions are delivered.

What you will be doing:

• Design and develop code independently and in cooperation with the Team Leader using various tools and owning responsibility for quality assurance of their development.
• Review deliverables for content, accuracy, and potential system impacts for assigned tasks.
• Review deliverables for alignment with objectives and provide feedback and recommendations.
• Gain experience in end-to-end project implementation, delivery, and awareness of SDLC.
• Problem solving and client support.
• Communicate and enforcing coding standards.
• Interact with a diverse range of teams, including project managers, senior management, and clients for successful implementation of given solutions.
• Work closely with international banking clients and internal stakeholders to deliver business and technology transformation initiatives while developing deep expertise in the payments industry.
• Support integration with external systems, payment networks, digital channels, and third-party solutions, including data migration from legacy platforms.
• Promote engineering excellence through software quality, automation, continuous improvement, and adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives leveraging cloud-native technologies, microservices, containerization, DevOps practices, and AI-assisted software development capabilities.

While the core responsibilities of the role remain consistent, the scope of assignments, level of autonomy, technical expertise, and leadership expectations will vary depending on the level at which the successful candidate is hired.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Software development experience with Java.
• Very good understanding of object-oriented design and development principles.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using Spring Boot framework, relational databases, SQL, and REST APIs.
• Good knowledge and experience in version control systems (Git).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and customer representatives.

Added bonus if you have:

• Experience with cloud-native technologies and platforms such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices or containerized architectures.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling, including Git and Jenkins.
• Experience with front-end technologies (React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) or Oracle PL/SQL development. 
• Experience within the payments industry, including card issuing, acquiring, payment networks, tokenization, digital wallets, Visa, Mastercard, or real-time payments solutions.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is EUR 27.000.00 – EUR 45,000.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
