Junior Legal Counsel
The Role
Cyprus Public Transport is seeking to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Legal Counsel to support the Company’s legal and compliance activities, including contract review, corporate filings, and day-to-day legal matters.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements (e.g. supply agreements, lease agreements, MoUs).
Monitoring contract renewals and maintaining an up-to-date contracts register.
Preparing and submitting statutory filings through the Cyprus Registrar of Companies portal.
Handling corporate changes (directors, share capital, registered office, etc.).
Ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines and maintaining corporate records.
Managing documentation relating to vehicle transfers.
Liaising with relevant authorities (e.g. Department of Road Transport) and maintaining fleet-related records.
Supporting day-to-day legal matters and conducting legal research.
Preparing corporate documents and legal correspondence.
Maintaining legal filing systems and liaising with external parties.
Assisting the Complaints Department in assessing customer complaints, identifying legal/regulatory risks, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal procedures.
Handling GDPR-related matters, including reviewing and maintaining privacy policies and internal data protection documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
LLB degree from a recognised university.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a law firm.
- Experience with filings at the Cyprus Registrar of Companies.
- Strong knowledge of commercial, contract, corporate, and data protection Law.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and a team-player attitude.
