Junior Mechanical Engineer – Fabrication
Job Description
Multimarine Services, a leading provider of marine and offshore solutions, is seeking for two Junior Mechanical Engineers to join its Fabrication Department.
This role offers the opportunity to gain practical experience across the full fabrication cycle, from preparing drawings and CNC cutting files to supporting workshop production and the completion of fabricated structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate fabrication and workshop drawings using AutoCAD and CAD/CAM software.
- Review and optimize designs for fabrication and CNC plasma cutting.
- Prepare nesting layouts and cutting files and support the CNC cutting process.
- Maintain material traceability records and accurate fabrication documentation.
- Coordinate with welders, fitters, CNC operators, and other workshop personnel to ensure work is completed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor fabrication activities from initial design through to final completion under the guidance of senior personnel.
- Identify fabrication issues and assist in developing practical technical solutions.
- Support material planning, measurements, and quantity calculations.
- Assist with quality inspections and verify that completed work conforms to drawings and project requirements.
- Contribute to improvements in workshop processes, productivity, and material utilization.
- Follow all company health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC processes.
- Ability to read and prepare mechanical and fabrication drawings.
- Strong numerical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to work in a hands-on, workshop-based environment.
Previous experience in metal fabrication, CNC plasma cutting, welding processes, or the marine and offshore industry will be considered an advantage. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Reporting Line
The position reports to the Fabrication Manager or another designated senior member of the Fabrication Department.
