Job Description
Alexander College invites applications for one (1) full‑time academic position at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor to join the teaching and research team of the Master of Design (MDes) in Design Innovation & Creative Industries.
This position is open to local and international applicants with strong academic credentials, research activity, and expertise relevant to contemporary design education.

Position Summary
The successful candidate will contribute to:
- Postgraduate teaching in design, innovation, and creative practice
- Supervision of MDes Capstone Projects
- Research, publication, and creative output
- Curriculum development and programme enhancement
- Participation in academic committees and quality assurance processes
- Collaboration with industry partners and external stakeholders
The appointment rank (Lecturer or Assistant Professor) will be determined based on qualifications, research profile, and teaching experience.

Essential Qualifications
- PhD in Design, Creative Industries, Architecture, Media, Technology, or a closely related field
(Exceptional practitioners with a Master’s degree and significant professional experience may be considered for Lecturer rank.) - Evidence of research activity (publications, exhibitions, creative outputs, or funded projects)
- Experience teaching at higher education level
- Strong command of English (language of instruction)
Desirable Attributes
- Experience supervising postgraduate research
- A portfolio demonstrating innovative practice or research excellence
- Engagement with industry or creative sector partners
- Participation in research networks or international collaborations
- Experience in curriculum development or academic quality assurance
