Job Description

Key Requirements

• 4–5 years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
• Strong experience in corporate and commercial law
• Solid expertise in GDPR, data protection, and privacy matters
• Experience advising on GDPR regulatory compliance
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
• Qualified lawyer / admitted advocate preferred
• Professional certifications in Data Protection or Privacy (e.g. CIPP/E) will be considered an advantage

Main Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, GDPR, and data protection matters
• Ensure the Group’s companies comply with GDPR and applicable data protection laws and regulations
• Act as the main point of contact for privacy and data protection matters across the Group
• Conduct GDPR awareness and refresher training sessions
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, corporate documents, and internal policies
• Support corporate governance and day-to-day legal operations
• Conduct legal and regulatory research and provide practical legal guidance
• Liaise with external counsel, advisors, consultants, and regulatory authorities across various jurisdictions
• Coordinate and manage external legal advice and compliance projects
• Assist with risk management, internal compliance reviews, and ad hoc legal matters
• Support various corporate and operational projects as required
